Re: Rebuilding my 07 - quadstar87

Its still going strong! Loves gas and has around 20k miles added on  Most recent updates are that I have a huge pile of new parts to put on. I went back to air bags in the rear and love it more than the springs. I have the front arms and drop struts to do with new poly bushed lowers as well. Th...

I don't want to knock the vendor since they've been helpful. Just watch out what kits you are buying. Any of the ones that aren't CARB certified most likely don't have the PCV inlet provision.

Re: Fumes in cabin upon acceleration

I've ran two different PCMofNC tubes, both fender well intakes. The first was on my stock intake and had the hose connected to the tube. The second FWI was for the TVS1900, it came with a little K&N filter like you have shown instead of connecting to the tube. I don't get a strong smell when I get ...

Fumes in cabin upon acceleration

Ever since reviving my TBSS from the grave last year, i've had an annoying fume odor in the cabin on hard acceleration. I knew what it was, but finally fixed it this past week! For what I paid for my air intake, it really aggravated me that they give a cheap little filter to put on the PCV fresh air...

I swapped mine to 3SS. It changes the whole feel of the interior when you get rid of the 1SS steering wheel and cloth. I would hate the leather if it didn't have the suede inserts, but luckily they didn't mess that up.

Welcome! Let us know if you have any questions. I bought mine in the exact same shape and finished it last fall.

Re: Front diff

They sell used for $300-$400 shipped. Toss a new pinion seal in and new axle shaft seals and you are good to go....makes it sound easy but it's a pain to replace since you have to tear half the truck apart to get to it. Put the oil pickup tube fix in while it's opened up. It's hard to set one up on ...

Re: 2006 TBSS Tuning

Don't forget it's a 4 speed....the shifts are always going to be all over the place with big rpm swings. It's the only part of these trucks I dislike.
